CAPF AC 2023: Reservation Criteria

The age relaxation is defined for the candidates of reserved category and ex-servicemen candidates. The age limit rule is applicable to all and the age is counted from the date of birth to August 1, 20223 Here is the age limit for reserved categories:

Upper age relaxation of 5 years for all the SC/ST candidates.
Upper age relaxation of 3 years for all the OBC category candidates.
Age relaxation of 5 years for the ex-servicemen candidates and Civilian Central Government Servants.
Relaxation on upper age limits of 5 years for the Kashmiri candidates. The candidate must possess the domicile of Kashmir between the period of January 1, 1980, and December 31, 1989.

UPSC CAPF AC Reservation Rules

The following are the exceptions specified in capf notifications on cumulative age benefits:

The SC/ST/OBC/Kashmiri migrants/ Ex-servicemen/ Civilian Central Government Servants will be getting the cumulative age relaxation.
The Ex-servicemen term is applicable only to the people who are defined under the Ex-servicemen (Re-employment in Civil Services and Posts) Rules, 1979. The amendments in the rule must be read before applying.
